Our Collections

The Museum features a large colllection of unique exhibits and historical archives found nowhere else in New Zealand.

The collections include:

• photographic archives of local history from the early 20th century,
• a collection of wood craft from local and national artists,
• a number of restored historical buildings onsite,
• a local geology display and, of course,
• everything about the timber industry in the local region going back more than 100 years.
